Dr. Welch is a graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation she has practiced primarily in the field of emergency and critical care. She has been serving the DFW metroplex for over 14 years as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Welch is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), and has completed the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians certification (MAV). She strongly believes these integrative medicine practices are important parts of patient care, especially for canine athletes, as well as for pain management and maintaining mobility in our aging furry companions.
Dr. Welch opened Dallas Animal Emergency in 2019. After 4 years of ownership she has elected to partner with Valley Veterinary Care knowing that they could continue to take the practice to even higher levels of quality service and patient care; while allowing her more time to spend with family, friends, and her animals at home.
Dr. Welch lives in Dallas with her Treeing Walker Coonhound Myrtle, her small terrier mix Pettigrew, and 4 very spoiled backyard chickens. She is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoys experiencing new cultures by traveling the globe whenever possible.
